Fernheath Play is registered with Ofsted, registration number: EY456829
This means it has to conform to certain standards, including things like having the correct policies for safeguarding and a nominated person in charge. It also has to conform to standards of training and qualifications of staff so that there is a Paediatric First Aid trained member of staff at each session. Parents can complain directly to Ofsted if they are not satisfied with the service they receive or the answers to their complaints from the Centre Management.
In addition, Fernheath Play will work towards Bournemouth Council’s Quality in Play Standards.
We aim to improve the health and wellbeing of children, by providing a range of outdoor play which will improve fitness and agility and encouraging a healthy diet. We aim to support children in gaining self confidence through a variety of activities and trips out. We also aim to support children’s learning through arts and crafts, and social learning in games and role play.
We will measure our impact both through attendance at sessions and evaluating what children have learnt.
