New Exercise Class with Creche!

The Playful Families Project begins… West Howe families can enjoy a new two year project funded by the People’s Health Trust which aims to bring people together to experience new activities at a low cost. The first activity will be an exercise class  with a creche starting on the 12th of October at 11 am…


Thanks to the Peoples’ Postcode Lottery our project received funding towards a sensory pathway and new play equipment.  This has been added to by the generous donation from McCarthy and Stone of a garden makeover worth £5,000.

This will enhance our sensory garden, provide additional climbing area and a seating area which will include a fire pit – just right for toasting marshmallows!

Paddy reaches new heights!

Paddy took her life in her hands for Fernheath Play by jumping out of a plane at a height of 10,000 feet in May this year. Thanks to our generous sponsors every foot of the descent was worth just over £1! The sponsorship donations raised £5,985 plus an extra £5,000 in matched funding – making…


The Sky’s the Limit!

Paddy will be skydiving this Sunday – 29th May – so far she has raised nearly £2,000 through on-line giving and other sponsorship.   Any donations received before the end of June are set to be doubled!

Fernheath Gains £13,003 for Inclusion Project

Thanks to the People’s Postcode Lottery Trust

Fernheath Play has funding to deliver an inclusion project for children with disabilities.  The funding will provide for some improvements to the playground, some equipment and staffing costs.

We are now open for after school childcare from 3pm to 5.45 pm. Currently we pick up from St Walburga’s Primary School ( a £1.50 pick up charge applies ) and from Heathlands Primary Academy. Cost of a childcare session is £7. After school activities run from 3.45 pm to 5.15 pm. They are free…


Sensory Garden

We have bought a range of equipment to go in the garden including sun shades, flowers, wind chimes, chairs etc as well as doing some of the groundworks required.
